Hi, I’m Marissa Rether

I was unexpectedly laid off from my long-term program management position just weeks before my maternity leave ended. No backup plan, no safety net — just me, my newborn and a whole lot of random skills that I never imagined would be the foundation for my next chapter.

I wish I could go back in time and reassure my old self that this turn of events would be one of the best damn things to ever happen to me. Not only did I go on to take my VA business from a part-time side hustle to a full-time lucrative career, but it quickly became the foundation for building the life of my dreams.

Today, I’m helping women build thriving VA businesses; mentoring them to harness their unique skills, passions and experiences to achieve financial freedom and more. Because let’s face it — this isn’t your typical side hustle. It’s your ticket to a life of balance, fulfillment and a little bit of homestead magic.

Aside from tending to client work, I spend my days exploring my 80-acre property in Northern Ontario, raising 2- and 4-legged babies, growing food and creating memories with my family. Let’s just say, as a homebody through-and-through, I’m in my slow and simple living era.
